Our client, the “Altenfeldner Werkstätten”, is a facility for people with mental, physical and multiple impairments. The workshop has its own kitchen and prepares meals for its own clients and employees, as well as for surrounding kindergartens, after-school care centers or other workshops.
The clients can order the desired menu from a menu plan. Until now, the food was ordered via many Excel spreadsheets, by telephone and e-mail. This very time-consuming and complicated process is to be facilitated by a web application.
The data is stored in a database and then the web application outputs the data.
Users register and are then confirmed by the admin so that only the right users are added to the system. Thereupon, depending on the user role assigned, the user can either only order or additionally also create the menu plan, view the orders or carry out the billing. The administrator also has access to the system settings, where he manages all internal persons, the groups, the accounts and the database. This ensures that the system can be used in the long term and requires very little maintenance.
When creating menus, menus can be created with a starter, main course and dessert. A picture can also be added to these menus. Allergens can be selected for the respective dishes, which are then displayed on the menu plan.
Orders are placed differently depending on whether an internal, external or group user is logged in. This allows external users to order additional desserts and internal users to order packed lunches.
The kitchen can view all orders at any time, in order to obtain the required ingredients based on this data. In addition, the kitchen can process the orders.
For billing, there is a daily, monthly and yearly table. These can be converted into an Excel file. In addition, a CSV file can be created, which is needed for payroll accounting.
