The goal of this thesis is to show augmented reality bottles on an automated bartender with the help of a mobile device, whether it is a smartphone or a tablet. On top of that the PLC, installed in the bartender, should be controllable with the mobile device. Thereby it should be possible to present the automated bartender and his functionalities without much effort.
The work can roughly be separated into two parts, first the visualisation on the mobile device and second the control of the PLC.
After the concept development, we quickly encountered the first challenges. At the beginning we did not know which programs we should use for the visualisation. After some research and consultation with the teachers we decided to use Unity with the implemented Vuforia engine to realise the project. For the PLC program we decided to use TwinCat because we have already used it in the school laboratory.
