Biohort is the market leader in Europe for metal storage solutions. These boxes are made of metal sheets, which previously pass through a bending process. Different sheet formats are used in this process, but a sheet format always goes through the same processing steps. The sheet metal manipulator ensures ergonomic and safe movement of sheet metal blanks from an ordinary euro pallet to the worktable of one of the many edging presses. This is otherwise done by hand, which is disadvantageous in terms of ergonomics and quality assurance. Since different sheet metal formats as well as various edging presses are used in the Biohort GmbH plants, the sheet metal manipulator must be able to adapt to the given circumstances. To ensure very high quality, the sheet metal must not be scratched or bent during the process. The process carried out by our machine is fully automatic by default (except for the removal of the sheet), but manual operation is also provided, which is controlled via the touch display.
